7 Best Outdoor Camping Games for Your RV

| Updated Aug 4, 2022

The great outdoors offer their own fun, but these outdoor camping games are still great to keep in your RV…

Most camping days are filled with hiking, boating, exploring, and other adventures. But there’s still plenty of in-between time spent at camp.

The following outdoor camping games help keep you entertained and having fun with the whole family.

I’ve only selected ones that can be easily stored in tight places. After all, every nook and cranny of our RVs is precious space. And everything in this post is on our Amazon List – Books, Movies, and Games for RVers

7 Best Outdoor Camping Games

This list comprises some classic campground games and more unique games you may have never played. All offer plenty of fun for all ages and athletic abilities.

1. Collapsible Cornhole Game Set

We’re going to start off with the go-to outdoor game: cornhole. The best thing about this set is it’s lightweight and travel size.

It collapses down into a soft round carrying case and pops right back up whenever you want to play. It’s much easier to work with than wooden boards and plays just as well.

This particular model has 5 holes instead of the standard 1-3 holes you normally see. Each hole has a different point value from 5-20 points, which I think ups the ante of the game.

2. Slammo Game Set

We started with a classic, so let’s move on to one you may not have heard of. GoSports Slammo is like a condensed volleyball-style game.

Instead of a net you have to hit a big ball across, you have a round trampoline-like net to bounce a small ball off. Players gather around the circular net and have 3 hits to return or spike the ball against the other team.

It’s an active game, which can be played gently in good fun or in a more aggressive way for those more competitive. It’s recommended for players 12 and older, but I can see young kids having fun bouncing the ball off of it in their own version of play.

3. Ring Toss Deluxe

This outdoor RV game is somewhat similar to cornhole, but uses rings instead of bean bags to earn points. You toss the rings to try to hook them on wood bars worth different values.

All ages can play this game, and it’s just as fun for adults as it is for kids. This set easily comes apart and fits into a soft carrying case.

You can always make the game easier or more challenging by tossing the rings closer or farther away. It works great to draw a line for young kids up front and teens and adults farther back.

4. Tabletop Hook and Ring Game

Speaking of rings, this hook and ring game is perfect for setting up on your picnic table. It’s a great way to keep you or kids busy while food is cooking or you’re just hanging out at the campground.

You can play by yourself or against an opponent. You “simply” swing a ring at a small hook and hope it catches it. I put “simply” in quotation marks because it’s actually harder than it looks.

This model is easy to put together and easy to disassemble. Plus, it’s handmade out of wood, which I always appreciate more than its plastic counterparts.

5. Ring Toss “Dart” Game

Alright, I have one more ring game for you. This Ring Toss Boss! game reminds me of darts but is safe for young kids to play.

You toss rings at a hanging round board with several hooks with different values. It’s fun to play by yourself or with the whole family.

This moovgruv model comes with a nice carrying case to store everything in. It comes with 24 games rings in 4 different colors and a nice natural-colored, solid wood game board.

6. 6 Player Croquet Set

You hardly see people playing croquet anymore, but I think it deserves a comeback. Croquet is a great outdoor camping game because you can play it anywhere.

And, every new place you visit is a whole new field to play on. So, unlike any of the other games on this list, it’s different every time you play.

This set comes with a nice carry bag and enough parts for up to 6 people to play. It can serve as a great icebreaker to make friends while camping.

7. Yardzee, Farkle & 20+ Games Set

Last but not least is a classic dice game turned yard game. Play Yahtzee and Farkle outdoor-style with these big dice and collapsible bucket.

The game set comes with 5 laminated score cards & marker, and instructions on how to play 20+ other dice games.

Another big perk? For every game sold, SWOOC Games plants a tree. So, you get to have a lot of fun and do some good along the way.

Honorable Mention: Velcro Ball Set

I’ve decided to throw in one more game because this was a favorite for my kids (and me) when we took them camping. These simple velcro “gloves” (or, rather, paddles) and balls make playing catch easier for all ages. Even young kids can get it on the fun.

Sure, twigs and dog hair get stuck in the velcro, but that’s all part of the simple fun. Just pick it out and get back to the game.

This set comes with 4 paddles and 4 balls, so you have some backups. Oh, and it comes with a storage bag!
