If you follow the RV industry sales stats, you'll see that, once again, sales are increasing and business is good. It seems that the deep economic downturn that saw sales of RVs screech to a halt are now over and despite all the consumer uncertainty that the media is portraying, RV makers are smiling again.
I visited the Kitchener, Ontario, Canada factory of Roadtrek Motorhomes this month and got President Jim Hammill out on the assembly floor to talk about sales.
The place was very busy with Roadtreks of all models in various forms of assembly. Hammill noted every one was already sold and he says other manufacturers are telling hom the same thing.

I turned in my C Ford camper for something smaller because I want to go at a moments notice. I drove north to visit family and because low chassis you don’t get the wind from trailer trucks, buses or dump trucks! I did my homework first because that was what I was looking for!
My first trip was a couple weeks after buying and went from Florida to 4 miles to Canadian border where I vacationed as a kid.
I LOVE MY ROADTREK!!! It was 24 degrees when my daughter and I stayed!!

Like many, we have been concerned about the economic situation here. But we have determined, also like many as your story suggests, to take the plunge and purchase our first RV. Until we discovered your blog, we were thinking about a Class A motorhome. But, like you, we are very active and the mobility of a Class B or a Class C is what we are now targeting. We still have some research and plan to go to the Tampa RV show next month. If you are there, it would be our privilege to buy you and your wife dinner so we can pick your brains. We expect to purchase by spring. Our kids are scattered across the country and we will use our new motorhome to visit them and the grandkids and to take several adventures of our own. We have yet to retire but we are fortunate to control our schedule and can work on the road. Any input you can give us in deciding on a B or C would be helpful. We know you like Roadtrek and we are obviously going to seriously consider it. But there are so many models and as we will be purchasing new, we want to make sure we get the absolute best fit. As we’ve read of your RV trips, Mike, we’ve often said that’s exactly what we want to do so your suggestions carry a lot of weight with us.

This is good news. You say all elements of the market are doing well, does this include Class A motorhomes? I know fifth wheels and towable trailers are selling well and Class B’s are hugely popular because of the Sprinter frame so many use. But wonder about the Class A market?
