The Roadtreking Tobermory Gathering Photo Spread

| Updated Sep 9, 2016

The Roadtreking Tobermory Gathering brought 60-plus Roadtrekers to Canada's beautiful Bruce Peninsula National Park near Tobermory, Ontario for a week of camping in the Birches campground on Cyprus Lake.

It was all boondocking, for while the campground has scenic well-equipped and mostly wooded and private sites, there were no electrical or water hookups. Except for a little rain early Thursday, the weather was pretty much postcard picture perfect.

Our campers all had Class B motorhomes- Roadtreks of just about every model out there, from 1988 to a new CS Adventurous that was purchased just last week.  There was one Pleasure-Way as well. Our campers came from across North America. There were lots of Canadians from Ontario and Quebec, and our U.S. campers came from Colorado, Vermont, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio, New York, Wisconsin, Texas, Illinois and Florida

Days were filled with sightseeing, lots of hiking, snorkeling the crystal clear waters of Lake Huron's Georgian Bay, photographing and lots of socializing. Here are some of the highlights;

Sunrise on Cyprus Lake. The campground is right on the shores of this beautiful inland lake, which is itself just a half mile from Lake Huron.

I heard your wonderful podcast from here on my commute this morning, then viewed your incredible pics on my computer while working….. Thanks for letting us live vicariously through you, until we’re able to experience those wonderful places ourselves! Georgian Bay is on our Bucket List, and I’ve added your review to my Evernote “Retirement RV Places To Camp” file! Thanks for all you do!

Thanks for all the wonderful photos of the rally participants! We often see the names in other publications, on Cyber rally, and as authors of some of you articles, and it is so nice to attach a face to the names!
