European RVs: A look at 15 different mortorhomes

| Updated Jul 17, 2013

RVing in Europe is booming as it is here in North America and for Class B motorhome owners, the European offerings are considerably more unusual that the touring coaches we see on our roads.

motorhomeeuropeThe attached video from UK-based Motorhome and Campervan Magazine Editor Peter Graham shows us 15 different UK conversion vans.

It’s a long video but I found it really interesting. Check out some of the different layouts, featuring transverse double beds, even bunk beds. Also slide away and fold up wash basins for the bathrooms.

The European RVs are all long wheel base, high top motorhomes and come from France, Germany, Italy and the UK, built on chassis built by Fiat and Peugeot. They are roughly similar in size to the Mercedes Sprinter models so popular with North American RV makers.

You may not recognize the brand names but in terms of design and practicality – except for those right hand steering wheels – the video does a nice job if showing is the possibilities.

See anything you'd like in your motorhome?

For me, my 2006 Roadtrek, Popular 210 stays the winner. I would wish that the company could offer the news items since my purchase like alternative for propane or energy.
