The RV lifestyle teaches us something important about nights like this. You do not need much space for warmth. You do not need fancy plans for joy. Sometimes all it takes is being present with the people you love, wherever you happen to be parked in life right now.
We know this season is not easy for everyone. Some of you are traveling. Some are staying put. Some are celebrating loudly. Some are holding quiet memories close. All of it belongs here tonight.
On Christmas Eve, we remember why this night matters at all.
It is not about gifts or travel or traditions alone. It is about hope entering the world in the humblest way imaginable. A baby. A stable. A promise. The birth of our Savior.
Every Christmas Eve, no matter where we are, Jennifer and I make it a tradition to slow down and read Luke chapter 2 aloud. It centers us. It reminds us what this night is really about. And it brings a deep, steady peace that nothing else can.
