Take a Break! Jennifer’s new camping chair

| Updated Mar 10, 2018

Jennifer has a new favorite camping chair. It's a comfy rocker that folds up.

Back at camp at the end of a long day of exploring, she thinks it's the best camping chair we have ever used.

It's the GCI Freestyle Rocker and it rocks because of special springs, which look a lot like shock absorbers. It weighs about 12 pounds, has its own drink holder and it folds up very easy. Just pull a handle and its ready for transport.

We easily store our Freestyle Rocker in the back of our Roadtrek CS Adventurous motorhome. The chair comes in several different colors and has a 250 pound weight limit.

We first saw they chair at the Jacksonville, FL RV show a few weeks ago. Nick Schmidt, our friend from SunshineStateRVs.com had it in his display area. Nick said his wife got it after seeing one used by another Mom at their kids soccer game. Once Jennifer sat in it she said she had to get one, too. We bought the one we have at a Sporting Goods store in Gainesville, FL but they are also available on Amazon.

What about those Pico telescoping chairs we've been using for the past six years? We still carry them. They are great chairs and we'll continue to use them, too.  Sometimes, we also carry a gravity chair that lets us fully recline and look at the sky.

But this new rocker has one Jennifer's heart. We like it so much, we will probably get a second one for Mike. Here's a short video look at it:
