Theodore Roosevelt National Park and the Medora Musical

| Updated May 31, 2023

In the Badlands of North Dakota hard up against the Montana border, is the sprawling Theodore Roosevelt National Park. It is one of our favorite places to hike and explore and we visit it every year.

Here's why we love it so, where we stay and a peek at some great entertainment in the area you need to take in. Oh yeah, we also talk about being energy independent thanks to solar and lithium batteries.

We stayed at the Cottonwood Campground in the park and, as on our previous visits, had no problem getting in without reservations.

This trip we also ventured into the gateway town of Medora, ND. We bught tickets for the Cowboy Steak findue dinner and then attended the Medora Musicake, the summer-long tribute to the west and North Dakota.

Check out the video and you;ll see why we so enjy this awesome area.
