RV Trip: Tip Toeing through the Tulips

| Updated May 16, 2019

Every spring, the Western Michigan town of Holland holds a two week Tulip Time Festival.

The stars are more than a half million tulips in full bloom, in every color and shape imaginable.

There's lots of fun, parades, wooden shoe dancing, entertainment and great food. In short, a perfect place for an RV getaway. \

So we signed up for a rally for Leisure Travel Van owners sponsored by the local dealer, Holland Motor Homes. \

Come on along…

The festival runs for two weeks every May but the tulips bloom right into early June.

Traffic downtown gets pretty congested during the festival but there's lots of private parking. Most lots charged $10 a day

Check the Holland State Park on Lake Michigan for camping or, just a couple miles up from the beach, the Ottawa County Fairgrounds, where we camped during our visit. Both have water an electric hookups.
