Must See: The Little Bighorn National Monument

On the way back east from Yellowstone National Park, we took some time off the road to discover the serene beauty of southeastern Montana and learn more about the historic battlefield of the Little Bighorn, also known as Custer's Last Stand and The Battle of Greasy Grass.

It's a dramatic place of great drama and emotion that honors all who died – on both sides – at this beautiful spot on the prairie that played a pivotal role in U.S. History.

Plan n half a day to fully experience it and be sure to take in one of the ranger presentations in the interpretive center to fully understand what happened here, and why.
