Man, it is good to be traveling again.
We didn't go far, from Northwest Florida to Southwest Georgia. And we didn't stay long, just one night. But we got away for a quick camping trip that provided a welcome change of pace from the lockdown blues.
Georgia and Florida have both greatly relaxed their coronavirus restrictions and just being out in the RV brightened our moods.
Camping Again
We stayed at one of our favorite campgrounds, not far from our son's house, and were able to get in a quick social-distanced in-person visit with our grandson, Matthew, who graduates high school this month. Like everything these days, that high school graduation will be done without crowds so we came for a family dinner since his school won't be having the traditional large gathering ceremony,
We did our weekly Ask Us Anything live shot from the RV Park and then headed back for some night catfishing off their dock on the Flint River.
We used masks and gloves when buying gas but even then, had no contact with other people. We talked about it on our latest podcast, too.
Back in Florida, the governor has allowed the reopening of restaurants (at 25% occupancy), beaches, and state parks (for day use only).
Here's a replay of our Ask Us Anything live stream from YouTube. We hope you can go camping again, soon.
