Gary and I have been going to Mackinaw Mill Creek every September for the past several years. We have a favorite campsite that has a view of the Island and Big Mac. Harder to get now as it seems the secret is out and people are reserving a year ahead. But we are going again this year at the end of September. Can’t wait!

The UP is one of our favorite travel destinations. We will definitely be back, even if we are trolls.

DO YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE FERRY OR CROSS THE BRIDGE TO GET THERE FROM OHIO?

Cindy, you don’t need to take a ferry to get to the Mill Creek Campground, or to Mackinaw City. They are at the top of the Lower Peninsula. You do have to take a ferry to get to Mackinac Island.
