We did our second live broadcast from the Hershey RV Show Friday, this time nailing down Roadtrek Motorhomes President and CEO Jim Hammill as our guest.
Jim offered some great advice on how to shop for an RV at such a show as Hershey, how to get the best price and even – at Hershey – how the first five people who say a certain codeword can get an even better deal. You'll have to listen to the recorded report below to get that info.
The show is well on the way to setting an attendance record this year. Organizers are projecting attendance of about 50,000. Perfect weather has helped along with cloudless skies and temps in the 80's.
With the equivalent of 33 football fields filled with new RV models, the Hershey RV Show folks claim it is the largest RV show in the nation. But the people behind the Tampa RV show each January claim they are the largest.
We've now been to both. It's a toss up, in our view.
Hope you enjoy these live reports. We had a couple of very brief periods of interference because of Internet congestion but for the most part, the tech system we have been using called Blab has been working very well. I love the fact that, while live, people can post live questions and even come in on camera as a video guest. We'll do other reports like this going forward as we travel.
