7 Great RV Kitchen Gadgets to Save Space

| Updated Jun 21, 2023

Your RV kitchen is probably the most challenging room to stock with necessary yet compact items. These RV kitchen gadgets will help you make the most of the space you have without sacrificing the cookware you love…

When you stock your RV, you always ask yourself, “Do I really need this?” After all, you’re trying to bring as little as possible and make most of the little space you have.

But that question gets really hard to answer in the kitchen. Even basic cookware seems to take up all of the available space, and then you still have your favorite kitchen gadgets you want to take along.

The following RV kitchen gadgets will help you optimize your kitchen space so you can stock it with everything you want and need.

7 Great RV Kitchen Gadgets to Optimize Storage Space

The following items are some of my and Jennifer’s favorite RV kitchen gadgets. If you’re interested in even more great items we recommend, check out these RV Gadget Shopping Lists.

1. Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids Storage Containers

This 42-piece set comes with storage containers and something called Easy Find Lids. Their different-sized containers have lids that can be used interchangeably. It makes matching your container and lid a breeze!

Better still, these lids snap onto both the tops and bottoms of the containers, so you can securely stack containers in your bumpy RV.

When not using them, they nest together. Jennifer recommends using the largest one to hold the lids vertically so you can easily pull out lids as you need them.

Lastly, these containers are BPA-free, and can be used in the microwave. You can also toss them in the dishwasher for easy cleaning!

2. Gourmia Manual Coffee Brewer

If you’re really tight on space and/or like to travel off-grid, this kitchen gadget is for you.

The great thing about this coffee brewer is that it is a manual, single-serve coffee maker. It’s compact, portable, and lightweight, which is why it’s one of the Best Coffee Makers for RV Travel.

The thing I love best about this particular model is that it doesn’t require any electricity! I can brew a strong cup of coffee without using my battery, which is a major plus when dry camping.

Another great thing about this press is you can use your favorite mug and coffee pods with it. You don’t have to have any special coffee pouches or cup sizes to use it; it’s compatible with what you already own and use.

3. Stanley Base Camp Cook Set for 4

This Stanley Base Camp cooking set has all the right tools for making a great campout meal.

There is a total of 21 nesting components, including a pot, frying pan, spatula, cutting board, serving spoon, trivet four bowls, and four sporks. It also comes with a dish drying rack to make clean-up a breeze.

This company also thought about the bumps and jostles that occur while traveling. They provide a locking bungee to keep everything secure when en route.

We all know that RVs storage is an issue no matter what size rig you have. This set gives you great cooking tools without taking up much space.

4. STANSPORT Heavy Duty 7-Piece Stainless Steel Cookware

The Stanley set I just mentioned is excellent. But if you are a cook that likes to go “all-out” on meals when cooking, you might want a more extensive cooking set.

The STANSPORT is a heavy-duty pan set. It comes with seven different pieces, including four different-sized pots and a frying pan.

This set was also designed with space in mind. It comes with a detachable “cool” handle that can be used on all pots and the frying pan. All of the pans are nesting, so they can easily fit in your RV cabinet.

5. Thin Bins Collapsible Containers

This set of four collapsible storage containers helps keep your cabinets clutter-free. They collapse to only ⅓ their original size to save space in the kitchen.

The set comes complete with four containers. There is one small (10.5 oz), medium (18 oz), large (26 oz), and extra large (43 oz).

Aside from saving space, these containers are made from food-safe silicone that’s temperature resistant. They are odorless, leak-proof, nonstick, and tasteless.

6. 4-Drawer Organizer and Dividers

This 4-drawer organizer set from the Berry Ave Store is perfect to keep your drawers organized. They divide the drawer into sections so everything’s not piled up and tangled together.

They are great for kitchen drawers, but you can use them anywhere. So, even if you only need one or two in the kitchen, you can use the remaining dividers in your bedroom or bathroom drawers.

Since they are adjustable, they can fit in most drawers in your rig. They are 4” tall and can fit drawers that range in size from 11” to 17”.

7. Collapsible Measuring Cups and Spoons

These collapsible measuring cups and spoons really come in handy. You simply pop out the scoop part of the cup or spoon when you need it, and then collapse it back down for storage.

The set comes with four measuring cups that have long handles to reach into deep containers. It also comes with four measuring spoons.

They are made with nonstick material so they are easy to clean. Plus, they’re dishwasher safe.

I had the measuring cups and spoons. Neither lasted long. The cups fell apart and the spoons were incredibly difficult to keep clean with the deep small corners.
